Big Mysteries of Science (MOS) Party

A MOS Party is the perfect way to mix science, fun and celebration for your child’s birthday. Crafted for smaller groups, this party is packed with science fun and memorable moments such that your child and their guests will enjoy a five-star experience of exciting family-friendly experiences.

This type of party includes access to our SLIME BAR, that enables the birthday child and guests to make fully customizable slime (fragrance, thickness, color, and special ad-ons) that is safe, non-toxic, and will not mess up your house.

How Does A Party Look
Every birthday at KSL is a vibrant, hands-on adventure tailored to ignite your child’s imagination. Children experience a joyful celebration filled with color-changing slime, fizzing reactions, and exciting hands-on experiments. The parties are designed for children ages 4–12 and offer a unique blend of learning and laughter that kids and parents both adore.
Pre-party Activities
Kids arrive into our beautiful learning center and immediately play with STEM brain building toys to do fun child games with Kapla Blocks, Magnet Towers, and Play fun games until all guests arrive. These are pre-activities, for the 15 minutes prior to the start of the hands-on science birthday party.
Happy Birthday Time
Once the party is ready to begin, the garage doors are opened and the kids enter our science lab and put on real lab coats and goggles, after a big Happy Birthday to honor the special occasion of the birthday child.
Science Activities & Experimentation
Every birthday party has a theme (depending on the type), but in general, the science activities include a series of chemical reactions, wonderful color-changing experiments, mini-fizzing solutions, volcanoes, and various custom slimes such as glow in the dark, cloud, and glitter fluffy slime to delight and entertain kids. Our science party has an art wall, the so-called Wonder Wall, where the child’s name is written in large letters, making the special occasion have a personal effect. A birthday party typically includes between 4-6 science experiments in total.
Food & Cake Celebration
The kids wash hands and enter the Imagination Lab, where they enjoy parent-arranged food and cake, where KSL provides tablecloths, cutlery, and cleans up the mess when done.
Celebration Photo, Goodie Bags & Googles
The kids gather for a join photo to commerate the experience and the birthday child receives a warm farewell, where all guests receive hand-crafted branded science kits, each power packed with science they can do at home (depending on the package).
Pick-Up
Our staff coordinates a smooth and organized pick-up process so parents can easily reunite with their kids while hearing about all the fun they had.

Our Chicago North Shore kids birthday parties are ideal for children ages 4–12. We customize each party’s activities to match your child’s age group, ensuring the science experiments are safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.
